I've been trying to get going on that music video I mentioned in my New Years resolutions, but my DC10 capture board is being balky. Video is distorted, not detected, just a mess. Board diagnostics say the board's okay. It's not a hard disk speed problem as it was in my old PC. I don't know what's going on. The board is sharing an IRQ with the network card, though, so that's the first thing to address, to see if I can get Win98 to assign it a new IRQ. And IRQ 12 isn't being used at all. So why...? Oh, who knows. If that doesn't work, I get to fool with the PCI bus timings. Oh, joy. I only hope it isn't a Northbridge/Southbridge, VIA vs AMD fight. That would be ugly, and maybe irresolvable. If that's the case, I will be very pissed, because one of the reasons I built a new, faster PC was for the purpose of doing video editing.
