Behold, the power of 'tone'.

Exhibit A: Male Privilege Checklist

Exhibit B: 100 Reasons Why It's Great to Be a Guy

Exhibit A is from a popular lefty blog. Exhibit B keeps getting sent to me by a friend who has me on his humor mailing list.

Exhibit A is searing, bitter political cri de coeur about patriarchial oppression of women.

Exhibit B is crass sexist humor.

Notice the huge amount of overlap between them. They're saying the same thing. The only difference is tone.

(BTW, I'm not endorsing either list. Both make some good points, some doubtful points, some trivial points, and some dead wrong points.)

meaning: provisions, food

糧食 == ryoushoku == (noun) provisions
日々の糧 == hibi no kate == (noun) one's daily bread

Left radical is 'rice' (米), which in this context standing for food more generally. Right radical is 'quantity' (量), acting phonetically to express 'road'. Originally this character meant 'provisions for a journey'. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Quantity of rice makes up provisions.'
