meaning: sew, stitch

縫い目 == nuime == (noun) seam, stitch, suture
天衣無縫 == tenemuhou == (noun, adjective that takes な)  perfect beauty with no trace of artifice, flawless

Left radical is 'thread' (糸). Right radical is a Non-General Use character, which in Chinese means 'penetrate'. Its left element is 'movement', its right element is 'to gore'. It refers to a moving needle penetrating material. The right radical as a whole acts phonetically to express 'join'. Henshall suggests taking the top part of the right element as 'sitting crosslegged', the bottom element as a 'telegraph pole', and as a mnemonic: 'Sit crosslegged on moving telegraph pole, sewing with thread.'
