As I warned you a year ago, the address firstname.lastname@example.org is going away. It's become little more than a spam magnet. (I made the mistake of using it to subscribe to a mailing list that is publicly archived on the web, and scrape-able.) Any of you who need to email me probably have a current address. For the rest of you, the LJ email address on my user page works.
And now, via the OED Word o' the Day:

meaning: grieve, mourn
哀悼 == aitou == (noun) condolence, regret, sorrow, sympathy, lament
Left radical is a radical form of 'heart/feelings'. Right radical is 'excel/table' (卓), used phonetically to express 'sway/move'. To grieve is to have one's heart swayed. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Grieve with heart on the table.'
