Why don't predators have horns?

Why don't marsupials have horns?

Why do placental ungulates have horns? (It's not for defense against predators: moose have horns, and moose fear nothing.)

Why don't riding animals, be they horses or camels, have horns? And don't bother telling me you ride a cow, I won't believe it.

Why don't land animals have tentacles? Why don't any land animals have baleen, with which to scoop small insects out of high grass? (There are a *lot* of insects in high grass: take a butterfly net, and run it through high grass sometime. You'll be amazed.)

CHOU

tomura(u)

meaning: mourn

弔意 == choui == (noun) condolence, sympathy, mourning
弔辞 == chouji == (noun) message of condolence, memorial address

Obscure origin. Originally a pictograph of a snake coiled around a person or a stick. How it came to its present meaning is unclear. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Mourn man crushed like stick by twisting snake.'
