I note that Speculations reports that that the estimable Cthulhu Sex Magazine has upped its pay rate to US$0.02 a word. It's clearly just a matter of time before CSM becomes an SFWA-qualifying venue, and everyone starts working a few tentacles into their stories so they can submit there.

meaning: lie, deceive

詐欺師 == sagishi == (noun) swindler, imposter, crook
詐称 == sashou == (noun which can take する to act as a verb) misrepresentation, false statement

Left radical is 'words/speak' (言). Right radical is 'make/make up', which later acquired a meaning of 'deceit'. This character means, 'made up of deceitful words'. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Make up words in deceitful lie.'
