It's mid-August. The Silly Season. So far, I've seen remarkably few silly news stories, silly scandals, silly apocalypses. No, the urgent recall of dog condoms doesn't count. Iran beginning to process uranium ore again really doesn't count.

There's not enough silliness afoot. I'm waiting. *glances at watch*

Update: oops, I missed World's Largest Octopus In Captivity Finally Loses Virginity. Wait, that's not silly, that's actually kinda romantic. *sniff* via the Best LJ Community in the World, _octopus_. Except for the other Best LJ Community in the World, inuyashas_butt.

meaning: outstanding

俊傑== shunketsu == (noun) hero, genius
傑出 == kesshutsu ==  (noun which can take する to act as a verb) excel, foremost

Left radical is 'person' (人). Right radical is a character found only in Chinese, meaning, 'birdsnest/cruel/heroic'. In this character it means 'outstanding'. Henshall suggests taking the right radical as 'evening' (夕), 'wooden' (木), the upper-right element as a variant of 'well frame' (井), and as a mnemonic: 'Outstanding person builds wooden well nightly.'
