KEI

meaning: enlighten, state

拝啓== keihatsu == (noun, interjection) Dear ____ (at the start of a letter)
天啓 == tenkei==  (noun) (divine) revelation, divine oracle

Left upper radical is 'door' (戸), right upper radical is 'hand holding stick/coerce/force', bottom radical is 'open/opening' (口). The 'door' and 'opening' radicals form a character which acts phonetically to express 'open'. This character apparently originally meant, 'force someone to open a door', and its later meanings are metaphorical generalizations of the idea of 'opening up'. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Force open door and shed light.'
