A while ago I mentioned this black bean soup that was posted to cooking as being especially wonderful. I just got around to trying the green-salsa-chicken-and-cannellini-bean that was the original recipe to which the black bean recipe was posted as a comment.
Mmmmmm. The green salsa/chicken recipe is equally wonderful, perhaps more so. A lot of stuff scrolls by on cooking that I just don't have time for, and I often think about dropping it from my friends list, but then something comes along that makes the community earn its keep. I'm really glad I didn't miss these two recipes. Just perfect winter soups: warming, meaty, complex and savory in their flavors.
As you may have heard by now, Ah, Megami-sama! is going to debut as a TV series in Japan Real Soon Now. The trailer is already up as a torrent, and AnimeONE and AnimeYuki will be subbing the series, at least until it's licensed, which it isn't yet, surprisingly.
The OAV cast is playing the characters. Inoue Kikuko as Bell-chan... ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Uh, excuse my inner fanboy. I've been disappointed in a lot of anime I've watched recently, but I'm definitely going to be watching AMG.

working on for the past month, and turning it into a parts queen. It was
supposed to be magical and astonishing. Instead, it turned into a plodding tale

solve fantasy problems with science fictional solutions. Everything I tried made
it worse. *digdigdig* "Why am I in this hole? Whine." *digdigdig*
"Dammit, I'm even deeper! How did that happen? Whinge." *digdigdig*.
Repeat for three weeks. In trying to fix it, I found myself considering throwing
out all the characters and incidents that had made me want to write the story to
Enough! Putting story away, working on something else, hope to come back fresh in a couple of weeks.
It just about kills me not have a finished, or even finishable story after 7000 words and three weeks, but there's no point in throwing good keystrokes after bad.
