I have just discovered that Patalliro (aka Patarillo) is now available on DVD at CD Japan. At least two boxes of 4 DVD's each are. It's not cheap, it's in Region 2 format, and there are no English subtitles. I still want to get it.

But I really wish someone would fansub it.

I've only seen a few random episodes of this, at ShoujoCon a couple years ago. It has to be one of the most bizarre shows I've ever seen.

FUKU

meaning: double, again

複製 == fukusei == reproduction, duplicating, reprinting
複雑 == fukuzatsu== complexity

Left radical is 'clothing' (衣), right radical is a character only found in Chinese meaning 'go back'. Thus, it originally meant, 'wear double layers of clothing', now means 'double' in general. Henshall suggests taking the right radical as 'person' (人), 'sun' (日), and 'sitting cross-legged', and as a mnemonic: 'Person cross-legged in sun with double clothing.'
