Ben and Jerry's: 'Aloha Macadamia'
|Executive summary: Aloha, adios, sayonara, best of luck in future endeavors, and don't let the door hit your butt on the way out.|
This ice cream is described as being: 'Milk Chocolate Cashew Brazil Nut Butter Ice Cream, Macadamia Nuts in White and Dark Fudge & a Milk Chocolatey swirl'. Sounds like it would be good, if that's was it actually was. I couldn't find most of this stuff. No cashews. No white or dark fudge. The 'milk chocolatey swirl' looked more like caramel. The base ice cream is chocolate, but without much chocolate flavor. The macadamia nuts don't blend in at all, nor do the rest of the tastes meld well. There is a really bad mouth-feel to it, sort of icky and greasy.
Sorry, guys, try again. This ice cream is not working for me. There are a lot more fun ways of getting 240% of my daily allowance of saturated fat per pint. This mess gets a 2 out of 10 on my scale of ice cream godliness. Even your average Breyers, fluffed up with air like a meringue, gets a 4.
