Elsewhere in the news, in Kenya sales of zinc oxide ointment skyrocket.
From a post on the sff.net newsgroups:
One of my manuscripts sat in one agent's office for ten years. The truth is I forgot about it as I continued to write and submit other work. To add insult to injury, when the box with the MS came back it was full of cat hair and one corner looked suspiciously like a cat had been working its claws on it. And this came from someone who was considered a very 'reputable' agent. She no longer agents fiction authors, so that's probably a good thing.
Write-write: pluggin' away at 'Tragedies'.
教授 == kyouju == teaching, professor
|Left radical is 'hand', right radical is 'receive' (受), the latter used here in its literal sense of 'convey'. The idea of 'conveying with a hand' lead to wider meanings of telling and teaching. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Teacher's hand confers receipt.'|
