Vale of snow-making

It is now snowing, for the second time in three days. About two inches so far.

SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS AND WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES BEFORE CHANGING TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN... FREEZING DRIZZLE AND SLEET MONDAY AFTERNOON. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE FORECAST.

Great. Just great. 3 to 6 inches of something or another, part of which will be 'freezing drizzle and sleet'.

If I clear my drive at around midmorning, I will then have god only knows how much of 'freezing drizzle and sleet' on it by night, which I predict will be totally unclearable. If I don't clear my drive, I'll have sleet and ice on top of snow. Either situation sucks elderly, infirm polar bears.

Rain. Or snow. But why, why, Lord, must we have both at the same time? It's 16 degrees. Why can't it just stay 16 degrees until the precip is done. Why? Why?
