働き者 == hotarakimono == hard worker


Left radical is 'person' (人), right radical is 'move' (動). This is one of the few kanji invented in Japan, although it since apparently has been borrowed back by the Chinese. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Working people on the move.'
