shizu(ka), shizu(maru)
meaning: quiet, calm
静止 == seishi == stillness
静脈 == joumyaku == vein

Left radical is 'blue/green' (青), right is 'conflict' (争). How these came to mean 'quiet/calm' is controversial. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Conflict quieted by sight of calming green.'
