80 degrees and sunny in the Philadelphia area, fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high. Your daddy's rich, and your momma's... well, you get the idea.
Tomorrow: more rain.
'King of Blood, Queen of Blood' got kicked out of the nest for the first time to see if it can fly. Go, little fella, make daddy proud! 'Girl of Flesh' is also out again, which makes four short stories surfing the slush piles of America at the same time. I'm so proud. Yeah, I know, it's not that many, but for me, it's good. For decades, I'd write a story, send it out, have it bounce, get depressed, and not write another for five years. I was 'the most defatigable of hacks', as Evelyn Waugh once described a character. OWW has been good for me so far, in teaching me that this is not helpful behavior, and that just because Editor A doesn't want it, Editor B or C or M might.
OTOH, I think I'll stop with the 'bouncy, bouncy' posts. When something sells, then I'll tell you.
My temporary filling in the my final root canal got replaced with a permanent one today. And that, I hope, is the end of my three month dental adventure, comprising three root canals and four fillings. Enough dentistry for now, thanks. Lets have some other body part fail for a while.
Speaking of which, I've started developing odd aches and pains in my right foot and left hip. That seem to correlate with the weather. I'm turning into one of those old geezers who can sit on his front porch and tell when the next thunderstorm will come in by which of his bunions hurt.
Hey! You kids! Off the lawn!
