Post-op pain from the root canals is a little better; not much. Interestingly, the naproxen/Alieve works every bit as well as the Vicodin, without the buzz. I've had low back pain for the last year, and I've been really unimpressed with NSAIDS (naproxen/Alieve, ibuprofen/Motril/Advil, asprin) for relieving it. They just don't do a very good job. But this tooth pain, which is much worse than the back pain, is relieved almost completely with Alieve. Odd. Now, Vicodin, besides the narcotic hydrocodone, also has acetaminophen/Tylenol in it. I wonder if the pain relief it provides might be mostly from the Tylenol, not the narcotic.
Rain for the past 36 hours, temperatures in the low 40's, and the snowpack is rapidly disappearing. The whole world is covered with mist and fog this morning. The snow is just subliming into the air.
|Top radical is 'bamboo' (竹). The bottom portion derives from a pictograph of two hands holding an abacus. Thus, the character means 'to use a bamboo abacus'. Henshall suggests as a mnemonic: 'Count by using bamboo abacus with both hands.'|
