There are already about 4 inches of snow on the ground here in the Philly 'burbs. Yesterday 3 to 6 inches were forecast. Now it's six to eight. Keeps going up. Ten years ago, we were supposed to get a foot or so. After three feet of snow had fallen, the weatherguys realized they'd made a mistake.
It's funny that weather is still so hard to predict. Probably because there are so many random, or pseudo-random elements in how much rain or snow will fall in a given area, the 'butterfly effect'.
Oh, and Weather.com is saying that the 'Golf Index' for The Golf Course at Glen Mills is '0 - Very Poor'. Yeah, I could have figured that out. And it's predicting the next tide at 3:37. Um... I'm 50 miles from the ocean, and several hundred feet up. Even with global warming, I doubt we'll have tides here until the tectonic plates shift a bit. I really do like Weather.com, but sometimes...
In other news, my dentist appointment was just canceled on account of snow. Luckily, my hurtin' tooth feels a little better this morning, so I guess I can hack it until Monday.
