The nasty thing is, Win2K won't even boot from the installation CD. Which makes it look really, really like a hardware error. Ack, thpthth. Okay, let's crack the case, reseat the cards, vacuum the dust, and try again. If that doesn't work, start pulling cards, try a new video card, etc. If that doesn't work, buy a new motherboard.
At least I've got reasonably current backups.
