Home theater progress. The obvious noticeable difference from yesterday is those shiny things against the back wall. They're metal hooks that have been glued to the wall to hold special sound-deadening material, so that the speakers won't cause echoes in the confined space that will muddy the sound.

HITSU
kanara(zu)
meaning: necessarily
必死 の == hisshi no == desperate
必然 の == hitsuzen no == inevitable
Originally a pictogram showing a halberd between two poles. How it came to mean 'necessarily' is not clear. Henshall suggests taking this kanji as 'heart' (心), and the stroke through it as a 'bent lance', and as a mnemonic:  'Lance through the heart is necessarily bent.'
