NAN
muzuka(shii), mata(i)
meaning: difficult, trouble
難民 == nanmin == refugees
難儀 == nangi == trouble
Origin is obscure. Right radical is 'bird', left is an obscure radical also found in 'Han China' (漢). In Chinese, this character means 'bird with golden plumage', ad the meaning of 'trouble' seems to be borrowed. Henshall suggests taking it as 'bird', and 'Han China' without its water radical, and as a mnemonic:  'Bird in trouble in waterless Han China.'
